CULTURAL OTHER, RIVAL EMPIRES, GLASS EYES, MADD ELIZABETH

Four top bands in the South East come together for one night of inspiring music and performance at Kingston's premier rock venue, The Fighting Cocks.

£3 entry on the door!

Cultural Other
The discussion and celebration of cultural differences, art and language. We are Cultural Other and we believe in music that matters.
"Collectively, our ‘secret weapon’ lies in the cultural makeups and origins of the band members. Drummer Kuba Mleczko’s Polish-American roots, guitarist Andrea Venerus’s hot-blooded Mediterranean flare and bassist James Campbell’s hot headed Hispanic temperament accentuates the band’s distinctive musical ideologies, with lyrics which seek to explore the labyrinthine nature of the human conditi...on and represent a podium for our staunch political affiliations simultaneously."

Rival Empires
Rival Empires are a Five-piece rock band from Surrey/ south coast. They hold a modern light to the rock and pop genres. Combining big riffs and huge anthemic chorus's. Since they first met and formed in September 2012, they've been giving relentless high-energy gigs, which provide powerful music with a raw performance.
Over the time they have been together they have had the fortune to play with some fantastic rising bands, 'The Afterparty, Hey Vanity, Fake The Attack, Swim Good, Fly This for Me, Hearts Under Fire, Arazona' At a verity of great venues. 'The Joiners, Boileroom, The Railway Club, Nambucca, Dublin Castle', with many more to come.

GlassEyes
A new band on the scene, but one with a wealth of experience. Beau Macarthy and Maxi Curnow's ambient, melodic guitars provide an almost ethereal overlay for Chris Gregson's powerful yet intricate bass lines and Doug Harper's insanely tight grooves. With dramatic, emotive vocal melodies lacing their way through the elaborately constructed songs, you can expect this band to be on the ascendancy over the next year.

Currently, the band are earning their stripes by playing the local scene, leaving many-a-listener gasping for more. By playing to as large a scene as possible, Madd Elizabeth are confident that they will gain a strong following, who will appreciate the mantra that the group intend to live by."
