Into It. Over It.

Into it. Over It makes a long-awaited and anticipated return to Kingston to play a full band show at The Fighting Cocks. A wonderful blend of emo / math and indie-rock with beautiful songs and stories delivered via a hugely engaging live show. It’s been way too long!

Support will come from special guests (to be announced) and Sweet Pill.

Sweet Pill
American emo band from Philadelphia, founded in 2019. The band consists of vocalist Zayna Youssef, guitarist Jayce Williams, guitarist Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen, and drummer Chris Kearney.
Having played their very first show opening for Slaughter Beach, Dog, the group released a series of singles in 2019, and their debut LP, the aptly titled Where the Heart Is, arrived on Topshelf Records in 20223. It’s a riveting collection that skirts the line between emo, 2000s pop punk, and hardcore, invigorated as much by the infectiousness of classic Paramore as it is by the complexity of mathy guitar lines and highly technical flourishes. This stylistic blend not only makes the music more hard-hitting but also emotionally resonant: the record’s many dynamic shifts have a powerful way of mirroring the subject matter of the lyrics, which repeatedly confront cycles of hopelessness and anxiety. Sweet Pill’s response, though, is one of blistering defiance.
